Bored!

Pages: 1 11 replies

Man, I'm SO freakin' bored on this shift! I've taken to logging on to the political chatrooms so I can make fun of the rednecks while I wait for new TC messages to come in. That's how bored I am! If there's anybody out there on their computers in the evenings (I work 3-11:30 pacific time) I'd love to talk about tiki/exotica/lounge/cocktails/shag, freakin' ANYTHING besides "Woohoo! God Bless America! France sux!" If there's anybody interested in a tiki-themed chatroom let me know, 'cause I'll definitely put one together...

M

I think a Tiki Chat Room would be cool :D

TikiMaxton~

I would bet Hanford has been thinking about a chatroom. No one has said anything, this is just a personal hunch.

As for being bored, yeah, PolyPop was in the same situation not too long ago.

I, too, am up for a chat room for those on tiki time.

Suggarcaddydaddy:

Thank you for the calendar; however, did you overlook the opening for the Tiki Road Trip at La Luz de Jesus gallery
(Wacko) on the 23rd?

I will be more than ready for a Tiki Chat after the hockey playoffs....that could be soon as my team is losing!

fartsatune,
It could be worse...you could be living in San Diego, the world's capital of losing sports teams! Check this out for ironic, moronic bullshit, the County of San Diego has a deal with the Chargers to buy up all the unsold seats at home games in Qualcomm stadium at the tax payer's expense!!! But, on a happier note, I to would like to shoot my mouth off in a chat room from time to time. I think it's good therapy(?)

ShipWreckJoey, not only that but our beloved Junior Seau is heading east to become a fish. Vewy sad!

Shipwreckjockey - How about this one: a lot of folks in this town (Portland, OR) have been whining for a major league baseball park for years, but the taxpayers don't want to pay for it when our schools are closing and falling apart and cutting days and such. So a local Indian tribe offered to BUILD us a stadium at their expense. All they wanted in exchange was permission to build a casino in the metro area. Well, of course gambling is EVIL, so the gov turned 'em down. We have the highest number of nudie bars per captita in the US, but God forbid we should be GAMBLING (or at least gambling and losing our money to somebody besides the state lotto commision).

Man, I'm cranky these days. Sorry 'bout that. Also sorry if my earlier post offended anybody - I'm not anti-patriotic, I just have a low tolerance for people who can't think for themselves, one way or another.

Off the soapbox. Now let's chat tiki!

Is there really ever a good week to quit sniffing glue? Yeah, Governor Ted must think Portland is sacred non-gambling territory. I personally think gambling takes food out of children's mouth's and is a hell of a way to raise taxes but Oregon already has casinos all over the state and Keno in every Safeway. I figure if you put a casino in or near Portland, you get a stadium, the Expos franchise and maybe a few
less traffic fatalities on Hwy 18 to Spirit Mountain.
You would, of course, have to change the Expos to the Tikis.

Now THAT would be cool - The Portland Tikis! They could have dollar beer nights with Henry's served in tiki mugs! I'd go, and I don't even like baseball!

I wonder if the natives had offered to pour the same dough into schools if Ted woulda let 'em build their casino...

hardly cranky at all that time...

Hey it could be worse...you could be a Baltimore Orioles fan. I'm so sick of these bastards I wish they'd pack up and move to Portland!

F

that's ok im utterly bored myself.

sitting doing tarot and angel card readings.
