I thought I heard recently that the Blue Hawaiians would be releasing a brand new studio album, but I could find nothing on their web site (http://www.pascalrecords.com/b_bluehawaiians.html) Does anyone have any info on this?? [ Edited by: Lukeulele 2007-10-19 18:47 ] |

I got a DVD promo (short) of (I think) a hope to be released longer dvd The Slide Guitar player Gary Brandin, has a side project with his son, called the Vanduras, and I heard they are working on a 2nd cd. Jeff(bigtikidude) |

well thats what I meant, I used the wrong term. So I was gonna say Pedal Steel player, but he doesn't have pedals on his and he also doesn't play a Steel guitar either. Its not a lap steel as it has legs. Jeff(bigtikidude) |

Ok. now this is a "Can of Worms" fraught with misconceptions.. The term Hawaiian Guitar is generally accepted worldwide to mean the instrument we're discussing, the resurgence in "Slack Key" and the insistence of a lot of the players to call it Hawaiian Guitar is somewhat muddying the water so to speak. |
