2008 "YoYo Island" Calendars wash ashore...

Pages: 1 14 replies

For all the hundreds of YoYo Island fans (you know who you are) eagerly awaiting their next year's idiotic, er, inspiring wall-decor (or tiki-hut draft stoppers), the supply ship has come in -- !

http://www.cafepress.com/yoyoisland

Yes, the terrible beauty, awesome adventure, and brain-damaged weirdness that is YoYo Island is once again available in two calendar versions, our "Totally Gone YoYo" classic month marker -- and -- in sweeping "Oversize-O-Scope" format, twelve tasty eye-catchers of lost investigatologist Odin Hyebahl's mighty unbelievable saga, "FABU-FABU"...! Oooo.

Get 'em while they last...

Cheers and Fabloha Nui!

Some computer wallpaper might be a good thing to set your logo deep into the minds of the customers.

No worries, TK. Find 'em here:

Mahalo!

Bucked up on some calendars and t-shirts...thanks. FUN!!! :)

Looks cool SOK but I'd rather have dancing mermaids (swimming?) than Siamese fighting fish at the Dive.

Dancing mermaids he wants...! Sheesh! (Well, okay, we'll look into it, but I may have to start charging admission in that case.)

Meanwhile, though, you're not entirely out of luck, but you've got some more round-the-clock exploring to undertake, Timo...

(ps, Do you have a receipt for that poster...?)

saute filets in garlic, shallots and 2 oz unsalted butter until done.
Squeeze a fresh lime with 2 oz non pariel capers at the end,
Add a few grates of the peel(not pith) optional.
More receipts where this one came from.

Yee Haw...just got my YoYo Island paraphernalia...and it is awesome. I absolutely love the calendars...I got a small one and a large one. Great artwork and think the YoYo Island concept is loads of fun. :)

Shelly's looking good SOK but tell the guy in the other thread to keep his paws off. She is already taken.

Careful, Timo, or your spifflicated indescretion could wind up on the 'net...

'Sides, I'm pretty sure "The Proprietor" takes a dim view of randy-handed land-lubbers sequestering the local talent --

And then there's the matter of your bar bill...

And lest I forget my manners -- Mahalo VRN! Delighted you fancy the swag, and quite frankly grateful to you and the other Ohana who've given YoYo's Tradin' Post some generous action while this Demented Menehune is stuck in the picket lines this festive season...

Hope Santa's extra-special good to you this year...
SOK

O

No worries SOK, I have a good receipt for him too. Well not mine really, it’s Giada’s.

Show: Everyday Italian

Episode: Good Things Come in Small Packages

2 tablespoons olive oil
2 ounces sliced pancetta or bacon, finely chopped
1 cup finely diced red bell pepper
1/3 cup chopped shallots
2 large garlic cloves, minced
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/3 cup dry white wine
4 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
18 medium (2 1/2-inch) littleneck clams, shucked, bottom shells reserved
Heat the oil in a heavy large skillet over medium heat. Add the pancetta and saute until crisp and golden, about 3 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer the pancetta to a plate. Add the bell pepper, shallots, garlic, and oregano to the same skillet and saute until the shallots are tender and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the wine and simmer until it is almost evaporated, about 2 minutes. Remove the skillet from the heat and cool completely. Stir the reserved pancetta and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese into the vegetable mixture. Season the mixture, to taste, with salt and pepper.
Preheat the oven to 500 degrees F.
Line a heavy large baking sheet with foil. Arrange the clams in the reserved shells on the baking sheet. Spoon the vegetable mixture atop the clams, dividing equally and mounding slightly. Sprinkle with the remaining 2 tablespoons of Parmesan. Bake until the clams are just cooked through and the topping is golden, about 10 minutes.
Arrange the clams on the platter and serve.

Sadist. (Although I must admit that's a very nice receipt, er, recipie, indeed... But no!..., must be strong..., mustn't eat my favorite bar tender!... No!... no... )

Oh Vile Temptor. May Big Squid steal ALL your drinks...

Buy a damn Calendar, skinflint. And put it up somewhere where your reprobate friends will see it. And then maybe we'll see how Shelly feels about getting together for lunch...

So SOK? Let's join forces for good causes. HaoleAkamai and her Dancethon, Betty Page, The Clown Doctor's and Andy who Loves Tiki, Leopard wear, Tonga Hut internet OJTV & Yo Yo Island webcasting from the Tonga Hut. (Just get rid of the clam first) quote Ojaitimo wrote Great idea Atom Kitty! Don’t worry about the Voodoo tech stuff. Just do that Voodoo that you do so well! We can handle the tech stuff, if we get internet in there, we can do a live webcast. I thought you had internet in the office? Son of Kelbo and I will bring a side dish if the Tonga Hut will trade say a Voodoo Priestess for a internet donation and help Haole Akamai raise funds for the dancethon.

SOK
I can work with you but not that jerk with the cigar.

By the size of him, I guess we could make enough for at least 100 at the art show.
I say we take up a advance collection for wireless access at the Tonga Hut and have a live webcast.
T-1, cable, DSL, any of them would do. redeemable for say a Voodoo Priestess and a bowl of Smoked Clam Dip.

Smoked Clam Dip
Ingredients:
8 oz can Smoked Clams, drained and chopped
8 oz pkg Cream Cheese, softened
2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
1 tsp Lemon Juice
1/4 tsp Garlic Salt
dash Tabasco Sauce
1/2 cup Olives, chopped

The Clam Stays In The Picture.

Not negotiable. But, Timo, since you seem to be a-wanderin' hereabouts, threadwise, with a notion floated in that other topic, then, sure, we can pow-wow about how we might be useful, if you like.

PM me, though, 'cause this thread is supposed to be about the way-fabu YoYo 2008 "Totally Gone YoYo" and "Fabu-Fabu" Calendars (NOW just cost-plus-$1, at CafePirates! -- bada-BING!)

Okay, this thread also seems to be about some nice recipes for some of YoYo's inhabitants (what the heck did Shelly ever do to you -- uh, unless you actually drank that Chum Collins he mixed up...? Don't do it...). Just lay off the blowfish, willya? He's got a show to do after Twilight...
