I recently came across this painting. It looks like it says "Gagne 56 Manila" in the bottom right. Does anyone know anything about it? Mahalo in advance! |

It was probably painted in 1956 in Manila by a guy named Gagne. It's a black velvet painting of a guy blowing a conch shell. It's most likely oil paints on stretched velvet. [ Edited by: GROG 2008-04-02 09:09 ] |

Grog you forgot that the frame looks like it is made from some sort of wood. Perhaps from a tree of some kind. Nice painting. |
