... has all the classic Shag elements. I like... For info ... “The Thinking Has Been Done,” from his Shag After Dark show. Was $250 new and will was limited to a run of 250. The print measures 22 X 26″. 13 colours. Released 2007. |

This is a 2007 print which was $ 250 new . The dealer wants $ 400 unframed , and $ 550 in this frame , matted . Frame is wood but nothing special . Note the colors are different from the photo I got via another dealer's site which is exactly the same as the one on the Shag site . You can still get this print for $250 from Shagmart. I wouldn't pay $400 for it from another dealer. |

Hi Sushiman, It's a good thing that you're getting the print from Shagmart unframed and not from the dealer. Personally, I like to treat prints like originals and give them a special framing and not just a matting. |

Actually , I changed my mind and didn't buy the print . I never heard back from Shagmart after sending several emails and that turned me off . Why have an email address if you are not going to answer queries ? Anyway , there are other prints I would rather have , so I'm just going to be patient and wait until once comes along . |

Sushiman, With ShagMart, and responding to emails, They recently (8/14) got a hold of two dozen of the serigraphs (of the 150) They were sold out within minutes of being announced via the Shagmart newsletter. Unfortunately, this (I am sure.) caused
I used to get some individual emails from Shagmart, but even in my haste to I suspect it will be a few weeks or more before Shagmart feels like I have bought a few prints from Shagmart directly, and they Aside from the last few weeks, Shagmart has been great at personal Of course much of this is me speculating, but I saw the excitement and eBay item # 170261978425 It ends 9/23, and no, it is not mine. I have no plans to sell mine. REGARDING "THE THINKING HAS BEEN DONE:" and "The Best Party:" Best, Gromit Fan

SuperEight, ShagMart hasn't released the details regarding the print yet, If I were to guess, I would imagine it will be Personally, when it comes to Shag's work, When I have thought, "I need to order this right now," Then again, I buy to own, not to resell, so I only Like Nagel, Shag's work could fall out of favor and see the value of Bottom line: buy it if you like it and can afford it. :) Back to the topic at hand, ordering from ShagMart I have at least a couple of weeks to decide, and I suspect

Wow! Very cool in my opinion, especially since Shag doesn't incorporate tiki into his work |

Gromit , Do you happen to know whether or not a serigraph of Mr. Blue was done ? Note this island in the background . Looks almost like the one in Medusa ! |

Hey Sushiman, nice to hear from you! To my knowledge, no. :( (Nice image!) Someone should make an online catalog of all of Shag's prints. Also, the book, "SHAG, LTD" has every Shag Lovely book to look through and start coveting what others have. I also see Shag reuses lots of elements, like the island. That may bother some people, but I love how it connects them all. tiki-riviera, You and I like "In Search of Tiki" for the same reason. I love all those

Regarding the mountain in Medusa and Mr. Blue . You'll notice that in Medusa , the moon is on the left side ; there are 3 trees on the left and 7 on the right ; and the mountain peak slopes to the left . In Blue , the moon is on the right ; there are 3 trees on the right and 7 on the left ; and the peak slopes to the right . Whether or not this was done consciously by Shag or not , who knows ? But I feel that the scenes in Medusa and Blue take place on opposite sides of the same mountain , possibly even on the same night . |

Love the tikis of course , but the amount in this new print is almost overkill . And I agree with you about the color scheme , however , the more I look at it the more I think it would contrast very nicely with the only print I have which is Medusa , and it even stars the same woman ! ; ) |
