New Colorado Rum

Today Tammy and I got to taste a new rum before it ever hit the shelf!!!

We went to a local (Denver Area) distiller for a tour and tasting and I ended up bringing home a sample bottle of a "Wine barrel aged Rum" very interesting flavor not something I will be using for daily mixing more a on the rocks sipper. They are still waiting for the label to be approved before it can hit the shelf.

I was very impressed with their other Rums, they also make Whiskey's and Vodka's. I'm not much of a fan of Vodka and will normally sub clear Rum for in in cocktails but after tasting their "Maui Cane Vodka" I am sold.

Sadly they are not yet available outside of Colorado, and can't legally ship.

Nice to know that our fair state has more to offer the discerning tippler besides (urgh) Coor's beer...

Man, I gotta go over there and check that out.
I've seen a couple of Colorado rums around, but am waiting to try before I buy.
