Not too much info. about this Hawaiian Garden other than this matchbook that I saw.

"New Hampshire's Finest Motor Inn Restaurant 32 Modern Units with Olympic Size Pool".

The matchbook is really cool and it's hard to make it out but it looks like it might feature a Cannibal Tiki. It looks like he is holding something in front of his mouth or face. If not, his mouth is quite large and kind of out of place.

It looks like there are only three Hotels in Seabrook.

There is a new Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Seabrook located just six miles from Hampton Beach and just located off Route 1 near I-95. There is no pool at this location though and it looks to be new. Maybe old one destroyed?

There is a Best Western Seabrook Inn located at Nine Stard Road. This particular Hotel is completely void of any Hawaiian Decor or building splendor whatsoever. It's actually very, very plain with no character but is probably of age. It also does feature a pool but no restaurant.

And lastly there is a Hampshire Inn Conference Center located at 20 Spur Rd (Rte 107). That being the address, it may not be the location we are looking for as it's not on Route 1 but not knowing the area it is hard to say. Address's, locations and things change over time so can't be sure. This Inn does feature an inside pool though.

We've had success on here before with finding out about these places so thought I would throw it on here.

Clears up my question about the Cannibal look that Tiki had. It's actually a necklace that was on the Tiki. That's why it looked strange on the match case. Thanks!!

I found an article published in the Harvard Crimson about a protest/riot next to the Motel. Apparently they were going to make a nuclear power plant or some thing like that there in 1980 and some people didn't like it very much.

This is an excerpt from the full article and the last part names the motel and gives a clue as to where this temple is located, or was located.

Well, I guess the protesters didn't win. That power plant has been there most of my life. Maybe I can drive by & see if there is anything to see... Doubt it though, being over 30 years later.

absolutely nothing to see there - the location was completely bulldozed and replaced with a new construction "99" restaurant. I live 3 miles from the location and drive by twice a week. The Hawaiian Gardens in Seabrook was another of the old school classic tiki joints. upon entering you could choose to walk left to the dining room, or choose to turn right and walk over the bridge to the lounge. In the late 70's the place was a favorite spot for locals to sip scorpion bowls and watch live rock and roll - you could almost be certain the cops would stop by on a Saturday night as a brawl would surely ensue. Sunday afternoons were a little more calm as the lounge crowd were home nursing their hangovers or still in jail waiting to be bailed out.
Seabrook is an "interesting" town - Many incorrectly argue that it was the inspiration for the comic strip 'Lil' Abner, as artist Al Capp lived and is buried in my home town. Seabrook has always been less than adored and you will find many of those "images of Walmart" photos actually being shot at the Seabrook Walmart. In its earliest days, Seabrook was home to just threee families primarily, and the story goes that the three families interbred till they became a bit crazy. Yes the nuclear plant is alive and well - we just recieved our 2012 Emergency Management wall calendars with 12 calendar pages and another 12 pages of evacuation routes and basic information to survive a nuclear meltdown more comfortably! The restaurant is on the commercial business strip on route 1. There is also a very beautiful beach on the atlantic Ocean, where you can sunbathe in the shadow of the Seabrook Nuclear Power station.
