This mug is now available at Wang's in North Park (San Diego). I'm told it was made by Tiki Farm, although I don't know who the artist was. Looks cool in a riff off the old Fu Manchu style mug. |

500 were made for San Diego and 500 for Palm Springs. After they are all sold, a new design will be made. I'll post pics on my ooga mooga page soon... |

I saw that mug on FB yesterday and am quite enamored of it. I can ONLY hope there are some left when I head down to Tiki Oasis. Definitely going to head to Wang's to eat, drink and snag one of those beauties!!! Thanks for posting Arriano. |

We went two weeks ago for dinner. There's nothing on the menu about the mugs, and the waiter didn't mention them. But since we knew about them we asked for and got two. Pretty cool. We had the Tiki Style cocktail in both. "I am Lono!" -- Hale Ka'a Tiki Lounge [ Edited by: arriano 2012-07-08 10:36 ] |

Joel said their original design kept blowing up in the kiln, so they had to start over again from scratch... |

Snagged the last two (according to the barkeep) during this evenings happy hour.Another bartender told me that another shipment was due any day. This was at the Palm Springs location. Food was good, drinks were simple (as opposed to the complex flavors/scents in a well crafted Mai Tai) but strong, and the tipsy factor is zero. [ Edited by: nui 'umi 'umi 2012-07-12 22:13 ] |

I was down in San Diego last weekend with my boys for a beach volleyball tournament in Ocean Beach and managed to sneak off with Mrs. Cajun for a stop at Wang's for Good Fortune Hour.
I am happy to report that they still have the new mugs. The happy our food was good and the Tiki Style drink that comes with the mug was surprisingly good. $4 for the mug with the Tiki Style drink. $8 with anything else. DC |

Paid the evil bay price but happy happy happy to have mine, it is a gorgeous mug. Love the florescent green with the black and the great design. Too many plot complications on my San Diego trip so glad I ordered, as I may not have made it to the restaurant anyway. |

Vamp, Wangs is close to everything in San Diego. 6 miles, 9 minutes from Tiki Oasis. Take a quick break from Oasis and go get a couple more during happy hour. The price is right!. I made the 13 minute trek from Pacific Beach last time I was in San Diego and it was well worth it. DC |

Thanks DC...next time I am in San Diego I will try to get there. My 93 year old Mother just sold her home in Lakeside and we are all packed to drive back to Sacramento. She is staying a few days with friends so I can go to Oasis. However she can hardly walk today, has something wrong with her leg so I have been in ER with her all day...not sure if she will get out tonight. A Chinese dinner would be good about now along with a Singapore Sling...LOL. I can only hope all the bottles of booze did not break in the back of the car parked out in the heat. Looking forward to some cocktails soon :drink: |

Received an email from Wang's the other day announcing they now have Tiki Tuesdays: $5 tropical drinks all night (Mai-Tais, Hurricanes, Scorpions, Planters Punch) and specially priced Pu Pu Platters and appetizers. This is especially interesting as Bar Pink is only about three blocks away and it also has Tiki Tuesdays. So now you can celebrated Tiki Tuesdays at two non-tiki bars. Yeah, I was going to offer to get you a pair, but it would just be easier to order them straight from Wang's. When you order, I would be sure to memo them that you want to make sure that they have no chips. I have seen like 3 now that have been a bit dinged up. FYI... |

Hahaha. MUCH obliged. Love the Ohana. And yeah, occasionally I forget, but I always check for chips. It took like, 8 mugs to get one right when I just picked up the new made in china Tchoup Chop mug. |
