Nice touch with the paint. Even Tiki art evolves I guess. Cy, Laz and a few others are brightening up our world. Looks like you guys may be heading for some tropical weather. Batten down!!! |

I try to avoid painting when I can. Not a huge fan. This customer wanted green so I hit it with some green stain and distressed it a bit to give it some more character. I wound up having to make the color more uniform ultimately per customer request. All in all it was a fun piece even though I almost killed myself making it. |

Thanks Amate. I love that green guy too. I've been on carving overdrive lately. A few fails, a few successes. I feel like I'm learning a lot though. Here is some more: http://www.facebook.com/AlohaTexasTikiCo [ Edited by: AlohaTexasTikiCo 2015-07-08 21:53 ] |

Love it! Is the color a filter on the photo or how it really looks? If the latter, how'd ya do it? Keep up the great work! |

Thanks DH. No filter. I hit this guy with a tiny bit of blue stain. I really like the way it turned out. |
