Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room Collections

I wore my Enchanted Tiki Room hostess gown (c.1964) to the launch of Sven's Tiki Pop show in Paris. It seemed one of the few occasions fitting :)
Here I am with some of the Britiki crowd who made the journey.

That is a very, very rad dress! I'd love the shirt counterpart for it, but I'm not willing to shell out 2-300 on ebay for it. Take care of it!

Totally. But wearing it to the Tiki Pop launch seemed like the right thing to do.

Love the Orange Birds, too!

Meet the whole family!

LOVE em! We have our flock on a shelf in our entryway. :)

What do you use for lighting?

I just realized that I haven't contributed to one of my favorite threads!

Here's my Enchanted Tiki Room collection... I've mixed it in with my mugs. :)

Pele, vintage Polynesian glasses, Tiki Room keepsake box, and two Tiki Bird vinylmation... You can also see my EPCOT/Tomorrowland stuff beneath that. Heheh.

Japanese floaters, wall hangings (actually napkins, don't tell anyone!) and some art. Also, a vintage brochure from 1963 and a record from 1968.

Mugs! Pele, Tiny Tiki with a vintage swizzle, Sipper, and the Uh Oa bowl. Tiki Bob says hi.

My newest find! A New Life Tiki from Kevin and Jody. So happy to finally have it. And a smaller version, too.

Uti and some Trader Sam's mugs. And Miehana.

Uti and the ETR 50th mugs.... and Mai Kai mug. :)

Enjoy!!

My favorite Enchanted Tiki Room collectable (mainly because I collect both United Airlines memorabilia AND Disney ticket media):

This special United Airlines ticket book that features a special separate complimentary ticket to
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. The ticket book not only is complete with all A thru E coupons
intact (including the Disneyland Main Gate Admission ticket which is still valid to this day)
..but is also ticket book #1!

Note the little jet on the above.

Another favorite and as previously seen in blue in an earlier post on this thread...the red version of
the Tiki Room Cast Member shirt:

Prem- love that ticket book!

And thanks for the link, loki.

Pele PokitPal Keepsake box by Olszewski:

I've got one of those! They also released a box fashioned after the flat-ish tikis that hold up the Enchanted Fountain.

Do we know if this guy has a name?

Made a great discovery yesterday when I stumbled upon this gem that I bought back in March and somehow totally forgot I purchased it. I have/had been wanting it for a very very long time.

T

I found a Quon Quon mug with the Disneyland Adventureland Bazaar price tag still on it!

I Carved Ngendei to hold up the shelf in the tiki room area

That is really excellent. I'm totally jealous.

Thanks... I appreciate the nice responses....

I snagged the ETR fountain on eBay for a song:

Mint in box, minus instructions plus batteries - no leakage, thank goodness! I fired it up and the pump/jets work just fine, but it's so sensitive to sound it rarely stays on for more than a few seconds, so I'm just leaving it dry.

It fills up more than its fair share of the available space, although it does give Maui a place to stand. I may need to reorganize...

Wow, love seeing all these collections! I won't post mine again but you can see what I have on my home thread: http://www.tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic=51392&forum=20&6 (Except for like 2 items it's all Disney tiki stuff). So jealous of all those awesome Kidney/Daily pieces! I hope they make some form of all the tiki gods again someday (and the drummer...and the fountain...haha).

While he's not my rarest piece (you can find him pretty easily on eBay right now), I'll post my favorite here at least - the Polynesian Tiki!

Kungaloosh, what is that mug to the right of the Poly tiki? I've seen it before (and I believe there's one tucked away on a ledge above the door to the bathroom area at Sam's in Anaheim).

Good catch! Yep its the same one - it was a cup sold at the Adventurers Club back in the day.

Also I know this isn't specifically Enchanted Tiki Room, but close - I found a few listings show up on eBay of the Polynesian Tiki Lamp that can be seen in Trader Sam's Grog Grotto.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Disney-Polynesian-Village-Resort-Resin-Tiki-Lamp-RARE-HARD-TO-FIND/272255803559?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D36892%26meid%3Dfe630c6f01994642bec0463627e5bcb3%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D121997053440

Is this something they started/sold at the resort? Anyone know? I'd definitely get one (if it wasn't $595...)

This was on sale at the Polynesian when I was there on Sunday for $250. They had two in stock, I bought one for a chum.

Oh wow, good to know thanks! I have a buddy that lives in Orlando, I'll tell him to keep an eye out for me.

I started on page one and ended up looking at every page. What a great thread. Wendy
