SWEET (-:

Fun stuff.

WAY cool. I know a place in my city which immediately needs rescuing.

Awesome piece.

Very cool! Would love to see that concept get picked up for a series. You think you three crazy Tiki peeps can spin out 20 minutes of banter per episode?

DC

What the hell am I doing in that show!

That was a fun day & this show needs to happen
Make it happen Ben!!! use your Bamboo mind powers!

WOW! Maybe a Vegas episode?

It needs a quick little animated Bamboo Ben cartoon, and/or animated titles.

Awesome! I'm behind anybody that gets this picked up, there's definitely a lot of potential even if it was only for a season or two ("Hawaii Life" on HGTV comes to mind.)

8T

Loved it. So much more fun than most of those HGTV type shows. Good luck and awesome work everyone. Who wouldn't want this all star team tikifying their space???

OGR

Great job Ben. It would provide a refreshing aspect to the other "makeover" shows. A true niche concept. Good luck. OGR

Now there's a home makeover show I'd watch.
When you're ready, you can come film a season's worth of episodes at my house (please!)

Best of luck!

P

Fantastic!

H

Best of luck Ben.

S

This is a fantastic idea.... viewers would love it!

T

Dig.

This has to happen! Way better than those other shows out there. And for those that don't get it, it has the added bonus of an after-show, where they paint the walls white again.

Here's the first video that led to the latest aka Building Paradise.

MAhalos everyone for liking it.

The first 6 pages of Spike's Breezeway were of us filming. Some of the pics Spike posted you can see the reflector on us
besides the shots that give it away with the michs and camera .
We actually built the core of it in less than 4 days and filmed too (which took as much or more time
than the build itself) .
Jeff Yarlett the camera man, producer, etc. did the filming, editing, etc. out of his own pocket for the pure love for tiki!
I'm trying to get him to release the original Building Paradise video he shot and edited of the build at Spikes pad.
He did a full 1/2 hour show. It's really cool! Here's the link for Spikes Breezeway.

The video here is produced by Jeff Yarlett aka Media Melt Productions and Spectrum Productions both
out of Tampa Fl. It was re-named Tiki Takeover for a while when they were shopping it.

Aloha! BB

Great work Ben! I want to see this on DIY channel with yard crashers I'd watch it, he'll I'd record it

Definitely would be my favorite show!!

Thanks everyone for the positive responses. Jeff is gonna re edit the original one we shot at Spike's Breezeway and hopefully
we'll have it up here in the near future. Keep those hang loose fingers crossed that someone will see it and pick us up!
Aloha and MAhalo!

S

Such a great clip.

T

"Jeff is gonna re edit the original"
That is good, But dam, Do a new one at Bahooka To Be Reborn Clifton's!

Who says your show needs to be just peoples homes?
look at the show Tanked.
Might be hard to get before shots now though.

You should document your bigger builds just for history's sake anyway.
Good luck!

T-Skip, here are a few Before and Afters. Some commercial, some residential. Some big, some small.

Also you can look into the other "Albums" to see way more.

I'm thinking of getting a Go Pro and time lapse the Pacific Seas build.

Or, maybe old school pictures...

Do it all, the people that want to make your show a reality will pick and choose
what they think will sell.
Remember many times the things TC people like don't fly and make money.
Plus the stuff we hate translates into big bucks, Party City, Jimmy Buffet.
You need to find that in-between spot that all will like at least some and watch.

I have seen most of your work myself, you need to get
a way for others (read non TC) to see your work.

A good start may be a video bio of sorts starting with Ely and family ending with you
and your beginning on up to today.

Crazy Al is good for this too, Have met him a few times and he never has that
dismissive attitude many in the tiki world have, plus he is always "on"

T

This one is good,
Quote Stephen J. Cannell “ Pitch your show with energy” Al would be a good person for this job.

Here's the original "Building Paradise" that we shot while building the original Breezeway.

A Tiki Master at work, VERY NICE (-:

H

Wow Ben! That's easily the best, most concise "step by step" Tiki build-out ever shared on TC.

S

That was great. Very impressive seeing how fast you work Ben. Awesome stuff.

MAhalos Y'all!

I've been know to work fast but this is TV. lol!!

Actually we did bust it out in 3-4 days (and with 3-4 takes every hour it was grueling )

The producer did the filming, editing, etc all by himself and on his own dime. He could only

be out here for a short time. He's based in Tampa. Pass it on and maybe someone will see it and pick us up.

I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that could use a Bamboo Ben home tiki bar/room if we get picked up.

This is great, Ben! Fingers crossed!

UB

I think its a winner.
Good Luck!
