These are starting to run together & look like the same carve over & over. What is different, is how I got there. The odd thing about these for me is they have no back. I have to carve straight in to them. I often start my carve from the back. Once I cut the arms I legs cut thru I can see where the arm & every thing else lines up.

After noticing that the big guy was leaning a little towards the neighbors house, Will attempted to lower the big guy to check if it was still stable. He quickly found out that it was not! Even missing half the body and feet, this carving is still over 6' tall. The inside is nothing but palm thread. People ask if palm carvings can go outside - "of course they can! They just don't last as long". This one is extreme as he carved deeper than most and he had it standing in the wind on top of a pole. It never fell - but broke on the way down.
