I've just realized that many of the things around me are either rather ingenious in design or function, or too dull to qualify as adequate. Keys. No more than the minimum neccessary on a key chain. That's the most adequate thing. And peanut butter. Now, if I could just get my keys out of the peanut butter...

My take on this is that "Most Adequate" is quite different than "Adequate". Consider this; If I needed a tool to perform a certain job and I had access to all of the tools in the world, the "most adequate" tool would also be the best tool. Wouldn't it? Therefore "Most Adequate" = "Best" And once again (as mentioned earlier) the best, err most adequate popcorn is Hawaiian Hurricane. My mailbox is waiting.
