http://www.straight.com/content.cfm?id=8563 Radio programmers listen up. This is what happens when Program Directors listen to lame-o consultants. People have been asking for quality commercial radio for years, and nobody listened. Unfortunately, it may well become a thing of the past. Unless somebody out there can apply some real creativity to what we hear on particularly the FM band, radio is going to go the same route our other friends (like Kodak film and VHS tapes) from 'anolog land' are now going...straight to the trash, and in a few cases....the museum of old technology. Do you remember the "Radio Radio" radio show from NYC? I remember listening to it back in the late-'70s/early-'80s, it was a Rock & Pop talk & interview show where they would also play new music that the hosts didn't think was getting enough airplay. |
