Uke and Banjo: 2 great tastes that taste great together...?

Recently a friend of mine who has a background in Folk, Blues, and Bluegrass expressed an interest in accompanying my uke playing with his own Banjo playing. Has anyone here tried this?

I have some knowlege of Uke being integrated with Banjo (there's even a Uke/Banjo hybrid intrument from this era) in 20's or 30's era American Folk music, but have never actually heard what it sounds like.

Banjo & Uke sounds very well together. Also, the Banjolele is a really great instrument, and George Formby is an excellent musician and singer playing it. You should check out his albums

Agreed, George Formby was a brilliant musician. Once the highest paid in the UK!
