Do you mean dark rum, as in Myers' or Coruba, or gold rum? Because we made them with Cruzan gold at tiki-kiliki's. Dark rum usually indicates a darker rum then gold rum, and dark rum often overpowers the flavor of a drink so it should be used sparingly. |

Around here, mango nectar is the stuff with the added sugar, not mango juice. I tried the recipe with 151 proof rum. Made a fine cocktail. :) [ Edited by: mbanu 2005-10-20 22:27 ] |

I neglected to ask how to actually prepare this drink. Shake and strain or just shake and pour into glass? Any specific directions for us newbie mixologists? |
