Wanna be (like) a Mai Kai dancer? Fire spinning classes!

Pages: 1 0 replies

Bay area folks:

My friend Amacker who lives in San Francisco sent this to me.
If you've ever wanted to know how to twirl fire like the Polynesian dancer guys at the Mai Kai (and any other Polynesian floor show), this is info about classes on learning how. (Now, if they could show me how to undulate my hips the ways the Mai Kai gals do, I just might fly out to Berkely for these!!)

Note: the photos on the instructor's website lead me to believe it's more witchy/Burning Man-y than Polynesian, "not that there's anything wrong with that", but it looks like you could still learn the moves and how not to get burned!
