Dinosaur Dung for tiki Mugs

Pages: 1 19 replies

A local fine jewelry and fossil store has got a big shipment of fossilized dinosaur dung in recently. I picked some up for myself (makes a hell of a conversation piece/paperwieght) and would be willing to trade some for mugs.

I have the recent spencers/tjmaxx/stuff from china type mugs and need actual resteraunt mugs or mugs from the expensive high-end producers (munktiki and such).

Fell free to PM me.

I'll try to get a pic up soon.

So what you're saying, Roryism, is that Munktiki is worth SH*T?!
(Sorry, I couldn't resist)

that's a picture of what the outside looks like, only the dung is cut into pieces so you get a sliver of it (about a pound) and the inside is polished

R

here's a photo of the cut and polished side of a similar piece

the piece I have to trade is about 4 inches long by 3 inches tall, weighs around a pound. I could get bigger pieces but the price goes up significantly...

Ok, True Nerd Confessions:

As a kid, trilobites were my favorite fossil.

Me too! I've bought a few over the years but the only ones I actually find myself are the shed tail sections and impressions of same; still, they're fun to find. There are a couple at the end of this post: http://thelope.blogspot.com/2006/01/winter-frog.html

The trilobite i have is from morroco, I like how it looks perched on the rock, most of the others I've seen for sale and such are embedded and you only see the top of them.

I've worked out a trade for the dung I have, but like I said I can always get more if I get any other offers (litteraly the gemstore is on my way home from work). On a side note, this will be the first trade i've made on tikicentral and I'm excited.

Unga Bunga....you are too much!!!! Thanks for the good laugh!!

Cheers and Mahalo,
Jeff

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

PER-fect, UB! PERFECT!!

Funny stuff. I'll print one up and hang it next to the mug I've got coming in.

LOL... coprolite for tiki.
