Aloha Sharkeez in Hermosa Beach is Burned

Well, Kinda sad for the locals I guess, but no big loss to the true tiki afficianados...The fire broke out about 4:30am and its a total loss. They were tropical themed, but in a very trendy/yuppie way. (flourescent paints and Party City tiki theme). The place kinda reminded me of Joes Crab Shack with a much more rowdy crowd...Maybe now they can remodel with a better tropical theme with their insurance claim, or at least I hope they look into it!?

You got that right Tom! Sharkeez was great for people watching on a hot day and that is about it. Tourist trap would describe it best. Would be a great location for a real tiki bar though. We'll keep our fingers and toes crossed.

They had the best bloody mary bar. You get a small pitcher with the vodka and ice. Head over to the bar and load up. Tasty.
