Our Front Doors-Updated 4-1

We wanted these doors:

Our budget dictated otherwise, but we found a compromise.

The boring tract house doors....

I had a local glass shop cut some glass for us. Tempered dual paned with "Bamboo Glass" pattern on the outside.

Will post more after I get them cut into the doors.

great idea! do you mind revealing where you found the bamboo glass?

Ooooh...that is going to look awesome....can hardly wait to see them finished. :)

I'm totally looking forward to seeing the pics of glass in. I've always been a fan of glass in doors.

Gotta get rid of that gold trim

Ron, that's really slick looking! Love the look! Nice work and a good find!

There's some great stuff out there to work with these days. I did some carvings for a Carribean themed bar and eatery near me and parts of the decor were these resin illuminated panels with reeds embedded in them. I always thought they would make great door windows.

Looks great, and lets in more light. Nice work.

Just need some paint touch up. Hard to get a shot without a flash now that there is a ton of light coming through. Also need to change that tile.

Entry looks better, but now I don't like the white window trim.

Closer shot.

We used Behr "cargo brown". I like that name. Same color we painted the beams inside.

Tikicleen.....just any glass shop. Ask for Bamboo Glass. Tempered, dual pane (clear on inside glass). The 2 pieces we had them make up (19"X 60" The doors are 30"wide) were about $320.00. Another 100.00 for new trim and hardware. Much cheaper than new doors and better looking to us.

Thnks everyone for your kind words.

Lake.....I like those panels...do you know where to get them?

Here's another shot, this time they are sliding panels for window treatments.

Still looking for a distributor, I should ask the bar owner again... it is called Eco Resin.

Your doors turned out great! Very nice work!

I really like how they came out!

Those look really good, especially in the double door form.

The house looks like alot of works gone into the interior. The doors make a good statement of what's to come for the intrepid guest.

What a dramatic improvement! Great work, it looks fantastic.

I actually think that tile is awesome - you may want to consider keeping it.

Now you need a tiki themed stain glass for the window above the door. Maybe you could make something with that Gallery Glass fake stain glass stuff. It would look wonderful over your door.

AWESOME DOORS!!!
