Have ya seen this? http://www.velvetfalernum.com/ We should be able to get it stateside soon according to this.... http://www.egullet.com/?pg=ARTICLE-flaminggully Which contains a recipe at the bottom for falernum "marinade" that is mixed with syrup for the thick stuff we all are familiar with. I noticed it is missing the commonly mentioned ginger component. I'll keep digging. I have used the Davinci brand and the now unavailable Sazerac, but I'm thinking of mixing my own based on recipes culled from the web and any literature I can find. Anybody try to make it themselves? Anyone got a good link for me? Anybody try the Velvet Falernum yet? pele [ Edited by: pele on 2003-01-21 20:42 ] |

Torani has a "Ginger Spice" syrup that is pretty close. Makes a good Test Pilot. |
