Can't beat the 2005 Hukilau website. I liked it so much, I bought company! Wait, I mean, I liked it so much, I stole it! I think that was humuhumu's fine work.
'Course humuhumu had it with the burning torches. Now that was friggin cool.

That was done by Seth at Troika Studios. It is still online at http://www.hukilau.org. The site and the promo Flash page. He also did the 2004 site and the Tiki Theater that is on Tiki Farm's site.

Yeah, my favorite site too was the 2005 Mai Kai site! It just gave this cool vintage, dark, tropical night vibe!

Some trivia....

If I am not mistaken, Christie and Dave Levy came up with the concept for The Hukilau 2005 site and Seth did his magic. That was also what the Mia-Kai asked me to emulate for their new websites front page. The image is actually a painting that is in the Back Office at the Mai-Kai. I went in and took pictures of it and gave them to my graphics team to incorporate into the site. I shot some of the other paintings that are hanging back there as well and you will see parts of them in the next build on the Mai-Kai site.
