Hello everyone if this has been discussed before, sorry. We just picked up what appears to be a Trader Vic's container of some sort, does any one know what this is for? We think its for soy sauce or sake but your guess is good as ours. One other thing, the only marking is the Trader Vic's logo "Tiki" I haven't seen anything from them that wasn't marked on/in the ceramic with the words Trader Vic. My very best alohas Bosko |

I have the same piece. I found it years ago, back when they still had antique malls in Yucaipa. I always assumed it was used on a flaming pupu platter because of dark area around the edge. |

Soy it is.Here's one from my collection with the plastic cap to keep out the critters. Has a little vent hole for a smooth soy pour. Great find. |

Hey guys thanks, seeing it with the plastic insert really makes sense, first I thought who knows what could fall in there. Thanks Bosko |
