I've been noticing people scapping/ high bidding / sniping up good items like Witcos, tiki mugs and such and I'm sure other items. Their names come up hn or pn (not specific names just examples) I looked around ebay to find an answer but nothing came up. Is it a hiding thing or secret id or ??? - Thanks for any help feel free to link me to answer. |

I think it's a privacy option, but I'm not altogether sure about that. I bid on an auction a few weeks ago, and that's how my name was displayed. |

hi...its mostly a privacy thing....so bidders cant contact each other during the bidding....the seller can see the bidder but other viewers cant... |

I believe it is an automatic feature once an auction gets up over a certain high bid dollar amount. I agree I think it sucks too. |
