Hodadhank's little brother Dread Pirate Murf is currantly performing with Justin James throughout the islands with final gigs in Tokyo before returning to the US mainland. Fans of carefree acoutsic beach music will be sure to enjoy James's warm vocals, guitar and songwriting as featured on their recent release: Sundrenched. Their well crafted originals, as well as their respectful Cecilio & Kapono and Israel Kamakawiwo'olecovers are sure to be a hit. A highly sought after session player, Murf is a blue's harp and percussionist extrordinare, and incidentally, if you've never heard one of these strange instruments pictured below played through a rotating leslie speaker cabinet, you simply don't know what you're missing! Please support my SoCal ohana Dread Pirate Murfand Justin James at one of these locations and buy them some rum drinks while youre at it. Murf loves his rum! Latest news is that Bobby Young, Don Ho's guitarist has officially joined the Murf's band! ...and Murf wanted me to pass along his digits in case anybody wanted to jam, surf, go to La Marianas or merely talk story. 858 204 0939 |

Run Logan! Run! Lookatimgo! Shuckin & Jivin' for the worlds 45 greatest surfers or some such thing! I guess Drew Brophy or Tiki Tony would be the guys to ask about the legendary status of The Pipeline Masters. I just dig the Foot/Tambourine action! |
