big surf show this Sat Purple Orchid,El Segundo, Ca

The Purple Orchid is on 221 Richmond Street in El Segundo, Ca.
1 street west of Main street. off of Grand
just a tad south of LAX.

This will be the debut show for (JonPaul Balak) of Tiki Magazine
on Bass with the Boardwalkers,
and the Return of Jeff Utterback on Drums,
hes played drums with about 15 surf bands,
including The Tiki Tones and the Huntington Cads

No way, JEFF is playing drums ?

I have to go. Me and Jeff had a brief stint in a Grand Funk Railroad tribute band with DJ LEE on BASS called Authorized Dealer. Man, this should be fun.

Last night JonPaul’s debut with The Boardwalkers was a lot of fun. The Purple Orchid was packed. I’m looking forward to the next show.

Do you think they will do this again soon? I drove through the So. Bay last night on my way home from the 3 kings show but really didn't know how to get there from the 405. Great Bar! I wish we would get together there more often, some of my favorite Restaurants are in the So. Bay if anyone's gonna hang out please let me know. More events at the Purple Orchid I say! Glad you all had a great time!

There is usually at least 1 surf show a month at the Purple Orchid.
a few months back the Martini Kings played there with Burlesque Dancers.
mmmmmmmm nice.

quick review of the show.
the place was packed all night and it was a stellar show.

The Reventlos did alot of surf and pre surf covers sans Drummer.
was really cool to see them do surf.

Jeff Utterback back on Drums with the Boardwalkers was stellar, he is soooo good. and my Buddy JonPaul did a very rocking good debut on bass with the Boardwalkers.

and The Insects were on fire as usual.
