Torani is probably the most prolific brand of syrup available in North America. And personally, I feel that it's third rate. If you use the search feature here you'll find a lot on Torani.

Here's one that comes up:

I prefer Monin to Torani, it has more flavor. I have had a few Toranis and i don`t think they taste so very much and compared to Monin its a big difference. But the best i think is to make your own.

I recently made one that is very dark and very deep tasting.

First make your own Tahitian vanilla sugar by placing 5-6 split beans in a jar with sugar that you like. I used Tate&Lyles dark and light brown sugar, 1 pack of each. Mix well, scrape out the seeds as well and then leave the beans in the sugar for at least a month.
Use that sugar together with the darkest muscovado you can find (1 pack) and then palmsugar (1 pack) and make a simple syrup.
I got about 2 litres of syrup.

If you shop at the World Market, you find a wall of Torani someplace near where they have their coffees. If Torani was the only syrup available and I was out, I would still have to be pretty desperate to resort to buying any. I think I'd rather do without.

Torani has an incredible range of flavors available and the stuff is amazing to add to coffees and sodas.

It's great if you don't have access to anything else, but it doesn't do so well for the bar.... Most of the flavors wind up tasting fake or synthetic in the glass.

Look around here, there are many recipes available with many tips-and-tricks to make your own stuff. And once you make your own, you will probably never use store-bought again.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the honesty. I was looking to make passion fruit syrup and saw that site so I thought maybe I would try it. I would rather not waste my money on something not so good. So thanks again.
