One of my friends from work came to our party last summer. A few days later he gave me this. It's about 2' tall. The Tiki is from a piece of Walnut and the piece it is cut into is Cedar. I think he did a great job. |

Here is a view from the side. I will be sure to let him know what you think. This little side patio is his favorite place in our yard. A few weeks later he carved his first sign for it. Again I was very happy with his results... |

I think you should hang on to this friend and not let him outta your sight both the tiki and the sign are excellent. I'd love to see a finish applied to the tiki as it would really bring out the contrasting colors. |

Those are way sweet for a first carve! I'm with Benzart on keeping those two for tiki carving motivation. Keep up the great work and happy carving. |
