Inhaling your drinks? - Beyond Tiki

So whilst at Trader Vics the other night I tried inhaling my MaiTai. First i got a piece of pineapple garnish stuck up one nostril and a cocktail cherry up the other, undetterred I tried again without the garnish, this time my lungs rattled with crushed ice followed by a slow drowning sensation as it melted. Maybe i got this idea a little wrong :)
