Orgeat as a sub for almond extract and simple syrup? I am curious about this recipe and the FOGG CUTTER recipe featured in BB's Remixed. They both contains almond extract and simple syrup...I don't have any almond extract, but maybe I can use orgeat instead of simple syrup + almond extract? Fogg Cutter (Bali Hai, New Orleans, LA) Put it all in a blender with 1 cup of crushed ice and blend on high for five seconds. Pour unstrained into a tall glass. |

Yes, I'd just use orgeat in place of the simple syrup. Later, if you get some almond extract, you can make one for comparison. I'll bet they are very similar. |
