Why does a remote controll cost over $50? - Bilge

Now, it's not that I'm afraid to touch the buttons or anything, but it's just a nice convenience. So, I went online and researched some online, while I did find several descently priced ones, i found an overwhelming amount of high priced ones. $150, $250, $1000!?!?!?!? How much do you really need to spend on an object you might use...10 seconds each time you pick it up. To program your house you say? One of the $6 ones I found (which is probably going to be the one I buy) will code to also work with your home automation system...not that I would trust it, but it would still do it. Don't believe me? Search on Best Buy.
