Clysdalle covers all bases in my book - this initial mish-mash is some of the tastiest stew I've had the pleasure of glancing upon -

Weird...Wicked...Haunting...Beautiful!!

Thanks for sharing with us, David :)

I don't know if amazing begins to cover it...

Looks great! David, I really like your Franken Moai!

I thought you might like to see the print I got from you at last years Oasis all framed up...

Realy kool Work .

Thanks guys...I really appreciate it! I try do a little bit of everything.....like if you tossed skulls, tiki, day of the dead and some old cartoons in a deep fryer. You'd get a Dlo art roll........mmmmmm....I don't even know what the hell that means but nothing deep fried can be that bad!!

Atomic, wow...that print looks great in that frame...nicely done!

T

You're a sick man, Dave, but I like that!

the new shifter is SICK!!!

I was thinking the same thing as Toe regarding your new shift knobs....

I guess I need to go buy a manual transmission vehicle now..

Thanks guys! Monkey, you can just pop it on your riding mower! Do some doughnuts in that thing! MMMMMMMM.....doughnuts.

The Weird and Traditional and Talented (play spaghetti western riff, here). Quite a mix of art. Thank you for sharing.

Well lets toss in something way off center.....Just finished this for a gallery exhibit featuring replica M40 German helmets given to a bunch of different artists to work their magic on. I've been working on a bunch of Evel Knievel stuff for a client recently so that is where my head was at....and here we go...

As always...you can see all the process of this painting here http://www.flickr.com/photos/dlozeau/sets/72157623575755439/

David, great stuff as always. The Evel Knievel helmet is awesome.

Looks Great, I would have you do the tanks on my Springer if I was getting a new paint job and you did custom painting
on bikes.

Just finished this new painting for Tiki Oasis...one of two paintings I have that are framed in metal port holes. This one is 12" round enamel on glass....another creature from the deep...

"Hold Fast"

and here is my "Under the Islander Influence" finished 20x30 painting...

Hey Clysdalle!
i wouldn't put much stock into what leleliz says about your paintings...
When she came by the studio last Sunday night with empee
she said the pieces on the wall looked so much greater IN PERSON!
Sounds like one of them stock phrases
when nothing else clever comes to mind....

True... Most...if not ALL art looks better in person
but there are so many other great qualities to your work
that i would've thought she would have noticed!

also...here's some more recent examples from her...
On MadDogMike's thread: Mike it was AWESOME to meet you in person!
On the VelvetGlass thread: Your art was so rad in person!
On Babalu's thread: Awesome work in person
On VanTIki's thread: Can not wait to see the zombie mugs in person!

Sounds like somebody has the copyright on the phrase IN PERSON...

got your back,Dave!
Thanks for the hug at Oasis, buddy!

lol

Hey not bad..3 days before you were snarky on here is a record Ken!

What do you want from me... I admit I like to see things in person and then when I do they ARE awesome...strike me down for having a limited vocabulary for explaining my excitement over an artist's work.

I also already confessed to Dave that I was at your studio....but I had pinky swore to MP that I would not slash any canvas while there so I restrained myself...and had to say SOMETHING nice. I did tell you I thought you were mental though -- or were you to baked to remember ?

Go me for showing restraint.

:)

snarky?

Finished....
This painting was inspired the by the old Twilight Zone episode "Time Enough at Last"...as I thought about a headhunter collecting all the trophies he could. Killing animals, other tribes....everything he could as he piled up the trophies and glory. When that's all done.....he realizes there is nothing left to do, nobody left to share the vicotory with...and that he's locked himself on the island alone.

Here he is...

"Nothing left to hunt"
