Hey guys. Just got back from Pensacola. Thought I'd let everyone know what all Tiki stuff was in the area.

Charlie Knight's Tiki (and other wood sculptures) sells are just a few miles outside Pensacola (near Navarre, on Navarre Parkway). You can look them up at http://www.palmtiki.com.
I bought my first tiki sculpture (yay!) and got a heck of a deal. A $75 tiki for $40 Cash. It's about 2 feet or so tall.

There's a place called Vic's Caribbian grill on Navarre Parkway also. At one point it was called Trader's Vics. I was very disappointed as I was hoping it was a Trader Vics (I think they even answered the phone as such). I guess they got sued or threatened as they painted over the "Trader" part in their sign. It's got bamboo and some tiki-ish candles. Didn't eat there as it looked kind of skanky. Maybe I'm wrong.

There's the Tiki House, a run-down flea bag looking apartment or hotel. No tikis whatsoever except on sign.

There's the Purple Parrot. The PP is a resort with a KICK ASS pool (complete with fake rocks, an Island in the middle of the pool with a hot tub in the island in the middle) and tiki torches. There's a bar next to the pool with the right roofing, but not much else tiki. Looked cool though.

You can also buy Chiki Tiki brand tiki-mugs glasses at a couple of shops, as well as your usual oceanic looking stuff. I bought a cool native surfer sculpture.

Hey, I think I forgot about the tiki-mini golf place in Pensacola. It was cool. Some tiki's spread around the course and such.

Not Pensacola, but Panama City --
right after you cross the bridge on HWY 98 to the right there's a BIG , er, whatchmatcallit, round, palm thatched building, about three stories high on the water. I've always wondered what it was and if it is still in business. Anyone know about this one?

Hey, maybe you'd enjoy seeing more discussion and photos from the Pensacola panhandle area and Ft. Walton Beach, in a previous threadhere.
