Just finished screening THE TIKIYAKI ORCHESTRA "Live at the Mayflower" DVD.

Awesome stuff!!!

If you were not there, it will make you feel like you were. If you did see the show live, you'll be glad to relive it with a new twist. There are multiple camera angles that make use of vintage style black & white interwoven with soft edged color footage giving it the perfect feel. I can't wait to see it on the BIG screen at Tonga Hut this Sunday. Not to mention, this thing sounds great, like you're actually there! Eric October did some great packaging for this DVD as well! Oh yeah, the bonus photo gallery is pretty killer too (shameless self back-patting).

If you're a father or visiting one, be sure to bail out early so you can get your DVD signed by Scott and Eric at the Tonga Hut!

Good god man! Too many Mai Tais, too many Mai Tais...that's my only excuse.

Gotta get my liver conditioned for Sunday. Kelly's drinks are amazing and I'm planning on partaking of as many as possible.

Will they be performing? Tikiyaki-light. Fewer musicians, less calories.

They'll be doing stand-up Karaoke moves to their own music -- once they're drunk enough :D

Kelly, will the Outrigger be up?

Had a sneak peak of the DVD... it is PHENOMENAL!!! Scott's direction makes the Tikiyaki Orchestra look even more like the superstars they are!

I'm so glad to be a small part of the awesomeness of it all...
Don't know that anybody's gonna need me to sign anything, though...

Awesome photos in the photo gallery, Tonga Tom!

See everybody SUnday at the Hut! It's gonna be fun!

GROG not wearing THAT one, but GROG have another good one to debut tonight.

Yay! Only a couple of hours to go!

This DVD is fantastic... it will be great to see it on a big screen!

See everybody there!

This event is so enticing that I am going to break all previous commitments just to attend!

Kelly's amaaaaazing cocktails, the superb musical (and visual!) stylings of Tikiyaki, Marty's great DJing and a rumored mango chipotle guacamole. How can one resist such offerings?*

(*answer: one cannot resist.)

R

A f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s event.

DVD is a-w-e-s-o-m-e. It was just like being there.

Thanks Kelly for the incredibly good Pieces of Eight drink it was very refreshing and I was a little afraid while you were making it you just kept pouring the liquor into the glass. Next time I see you I'll have another one.

I had to wear my sunglasses because GROG wore than loud shirt, I balanced the glare with pale pink.

Thank you everyone...thank you, thank you. What a wonderful night!

Wish I could've made it tonight, drat! Congrats on the DVD release!

WoooHooo! What a Tiki-rrific Night!! The Tikiyaki Mayflower DVD is awesome!!! Mahalo! Mahalo! Mahalo to Hiphipahula for creating the WooHooWahine Drink. It was delicious and had everyone WooHooing :)

T

It's always a treat to visit The Tonga Hut, but when you add Jim Bacchi, Marty Lush & most of the Tikiyaki Orchestra into the mix, that takes things to the next level of good times. Thanks to Jeremy & the gang for hosting yet another swingin' soire and, as always, muchos mahalos to the one & only Kelly for keeping everyone's spirits high. All kneel before the altar of Hiphipahula!

AWESOME event! What a great turn out! Had a total blast! Let's do it again real soon!

Everyone did an incredible job... Scott, all the Tikiyakis: Jim, Marty, Casanova, Steady Eddie, and the Tonga Hut crew: Jeremy, Kelly... and Manuel pitching in for some barbacking (he looked so happy having fun helping out... made me smile!)

Yay!

Hey, does this shirt make GROG look fat?

G
GROG posted on Wed, Jun 23, 2010 8:50 AM

If WooHoo Wahine(L) is drinking a "WooHoo Wahine", is that considered cannibalism?

RedPatti(R), you shouldn't wear sunglasses in a dark bar, you might trip on something and break your ankle! GROG shirt bright, but it not THAT bright!

GROG
Get better soon Tiki-Kate and Marie.

Fat and a Bit Swishy.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
:o

Jeff(btd)

Grog,
can you tell me why most TC people like 50's and 60's vintage Hawaiian shirts,
yet you and Kirby keep going for the cheesy 80's ones?

Is this DVD still available? I know I saw an ad (I thought on TC) for DVDs at one point, but I can't find it anymore. Anyone know where I can find one?
