The Lava Room - Our Home Tiki Bar in San Jose, CA

Pages: 1 2 replies

Our house has an add-on room that my husband's Grandfather built in 1960 on what was the back patio. It has 3-walls of glass and wood paneling plus a small air conditioning room and a wall heater for winter. It's ideal for a tiki bar. We've added a pretty amazing rattan set that our friend Tanya scored at a yard sale, some flower pots and mugs we picked up a thrift and antique stores, plus an indoor fountain that we need to find colored lights for. I made some artificial plants to spruce it up a bit and our friend Woody (Kahaka) is going to make a lamp for us. We stocked the bar with a ton of rums and liqueurs and I'd say we are well on our way to having an amazing tiki bar.
