BigToe's Shimmer & Rot Art Show

Hey Kids,

If you're looking for fun in the OC this weekend, please join me for my art show this weekend!

Its not a tiki art show, but i witnessed a couple tikis in the group art show.

here is the skinny:

Rothick art haus is proud to present BigToe's Shimmer & Rot. A Kustom Kulture show ( hotrods, pin ups, hotrod lifestyle) headlining BigToe and a group show featuring Keith Weesner, Dave Burke, James Owens, John Bell, Sam Gambino, Tom Vadakan, Candy, Juice Lee, Mike Bliz, Sara Haase, LD Grant, Juan Muniz, Kent Reppert, Patrick Hammerlein, Amy Kaplan, Tim Shelton Danny Beck, Romina Hayag, David Lozeau, and Daisy Church.

We will also have a custom car show and pin up contest sponsored by Coast airbrush, Amy Kaplan (amykaplanphoto.com) Katz Perfect Petals and Kit Kat Cosmetics.

There will be live music by DJ Oldboy and Switched On Audrey and the Dos Chinos truck will be out front.

So come out on the 13th from 7 to 11 pm for a great night of art, cars, pin ups, music and food. Hope to see you there!

This is going to be a great show I'm sure of it. So Cal gets so many great events it starting to hurt reading about them all.

The Continental Room is a pretty cool bar EST in 1925 has a real RatPack atmosphere.

I don't know what a scruffy guy like me would be doing in a swanky place like that.
But I have been there a few times.

oh yeah, they've had surf bands play there.

Fabulous show Toe! (or should we say, "DiabToe")
The paintings 'popped' as Kinny said, and so did your debononair attire.

I especially enjoyed the Vampire Bride series, and all the dead celebrities wandering around the gallery.
Natalie Wood, bearded Dean Martin, and tiny Bettie Page were all gracious and friendly. I noticed that the Hearse left without them.

We had a great time, and look forward to your next show.

We had a blast at the show! All the new pieces were awesome, and there was a great turnout. The cars and pretty girls made it a real event, and Toe himself was a sight to behold in his super-swanky suit. We have some pictures that I'll download in the next day and post. Good times!
