SPREAD THE WORD VIA ALL YOUR NETWORKS - OAKLAND HAS A BRAND NEW OLD SCHOOL TIKI BAR! And they want and need your help! This has been open for a while but dig it: they just got their liquor license and now they have a full bar of exotic cocktails AND the decor is perfect PLUS they play authentic exotica music and 50s/60s movies on the TV behind the bar - meaning they are true enthusiasts! No "Survivor" bullshit here! I guess the Von Stroheims picked the right time to movie to Oaktown.... Monica and I already have plans to attend the Rat Pack show at the Lake Merritt Hotel that night, but we plan to swing by there afterwards to join in the festivities. The decor was semi-tropical beach vibe, the cheap wine tropical drinks were pretty bad, and the music wasn't anything special. The food was pretty decent as it came upstairs from Rustica. I'm looking forward to seeing what changes they've made.
