Description:
Here is another one of those old hidden gems. The Islander Motel was located near Disneyland on Katella Avenue. I just got this postcard showing the exterior of the hotel and the pool area.

The cool googie sign with some great graphics and bamboo features.

The sign also sported a Tiki boat, and in the background it looks like a nice A-frame restaurant building with some shield masks on the wall.

The motel is still there as the Islander Inn and Suites with the standard Taco Bell Tuscany conversion.

Would love to see some more photos of this place (the old one!).

Great card DC. You are on fire theses days my friend. You have some great posts out on the threads. Wish I was out that way for a while instead of holed up at the faraway Tiki outpost. Would like to see your collection sometime. Keep up the good work.
