Following up from another topic posted in the music section, http://www.tikicentral.com/viewtopic.php?topic=39060&forum=11&4, I'd like to record Dr. Zarkov's great internet radio show on my computer. I'm sure more than a few of us would benefit from learning how to record an internet radio show from a computer, specifically how to set up a timed recording of a future show, as is done when recording a future TV show. I have a Dell Inspiron with Windows Vista. If one of you techies out there could provide (in layman's terms) step by step instructions, I and others would be very grateful. Mahalo. |

Well, there are plenty of applications that record audio streams. For example this one: Radioshift on the Mac not only has a timer function but will wake your machine and record in the background so you don't have to lift a finger. There are also some open source alternatives but non-technical folks probably don't want to weed through all the chaff to get to the wheat.

I use Replay Media Catcher myself. Tried lots of them and it works the best. |
