Home bar top, I have an idea can you help??

well its been a while since I posted anything, I have been a busy boy. My home bar the "lava lounge" needs a new bar top this year, some of you may remember my old one which was made from broken plates placed in a mosiac patteren then covered with a clear bar top two part resin. Problem is this, the resin while a great idea can not survive out michigan winters if left outside, and I can not bring it in every year its just not going to happen. So I had an idea of a cement bar top with inlaid glass pieces and then back lit with fiber optic fibers glued to the glass and also poked thru the cement in areas, then when cement is polished all will be flush and a great effect at night for my outside bar. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions I want something durable and different. Thanks here is a picture of my old bar top but keep in mind all the clear is cracked and broken looking now :(
