I've had this 1/2 sheet of 3/4" MDF laying around for awhile, so I thought I'd whip out my Jigsaw and my Rotory Rasp, and design the front of my Tiki Shrine for our Tiki Lounge Sun Porch. Now I just need to wire up the red eyes and start on the top.

Is MDF wood? Does anyone really know? Killer Tiki plaque though!!! Make sure you seal the shit out of it !!!

Very Nice!
Agreed about sealing it - MDF doesn't like moisture. Also it has very low impact resistance, so be careful.

Thanks for posting

But I did seal it with SEVERAL coats of Exterior Rustoleum I also had laying around. About time I started using all the materials I've accumulated over the years that my wife keeps trying to throw out. Here's a shot of the status of the rest of the lounge, using our old wedding decorations.

Fire Retardent?

Yes. And a fire extinguisher in the corner for good measure. Obviously the table torches are for looks only, and the string lights are only turned on when I am sitting out there.
