I noticed in one of your posts in the "carving" thread there was a pair of books on the floor near your work. One appears to be titled Oceanic Art, and the other is obscured. What are the books titles and authors (or editors)? I have a 6.5 foot pine log with a 24" diameter (roughly) that I'm eyeing for my vacation project and I need a little inspiration toward the traditional styles. Cheers! pele |

That's actually a set of books by Anthony J.P. Meyers called Oceanic Art. I use another one called "Arts of the Maori". The first book is rather expensive, the second out of print, but there is some great stuff in the Book Of Tiki as well as Night Of The Tiki. |
