anybody tried Sergeant Classick Hawaiian rum?

Pages: 1 4 replies

made with Hawaiian molasses

Funny. Its distilled right down the road from me but I have never seen it. Curious that they don't age it at all.

their website says "Prolonged exposure to oak provides it with a medium bodied character reminiscent of rums that have been aged for 3-5 years." i wonder how "prolonged" the exposure really is.

i saw it in a local store here, but i can't recall the price- will remember to find that out next time.

Haven't seen it or tried it but maybe chunks of toasted oak are tossed in the tank after distilling. Might be able to simulate some barrel aging in a shorter timeframe that way.

25 bucks.

dont think i'm willing to pay that for an un-aged rum...
