Just found out about it this morning. Apparently Delmar was in Hawaii recording a new Don Tiki album. We will miss him!

Yes...awful. So sorry to hear this.

Sad to hear of his passing. But glad that lots of us, including myself, got to see him perform with Don Tiki at last years Tiki Oasis.

Shocked and saddened. I heard about the death on Haiku Stairs, but had no idea is was Delmar.

Very sad.

Very sad news, we've lost an amazing person, spirit and entertainer.

Very sad...loss of a great talent!!!

The Don Tiki Tribe is shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of of our dear colleague Fritz… a rare spirit and charismatic guy. Always upbeat, full of life, humor, and creativity.
He left us burning bright on the Stairway to Heaven: http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/19200806/man-dies-while-hiking-stairway-to-heaven

Fritz was a great asset to Oahu's music and creative culture for decades, he was a nice/interesting guy, and fronted some classic rock bands from Hawaii's '70s/'80s like Shnnazz. Sorry to hear we'll be without him now, Don Tiki will never be the same.

Yes, he will be very hard to replace but we know in our hearts that he would want "the show to go on" in true entertainer fashion.
As you know, we have some very important gigs at the end of the year here in Honolulu and at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in LA.
We have a few people in mind and we'll let you know if it works out to save the unique and Forbidden World of Don Tiki.

Aloha,
FF

RANDY WONG! THANKS.

The tickets for Don Tiki at the Disney Conert Hall go on sale today. Delmar will be missed. I am glad I saw him perform at TIKI OASIS last year.

This is such heart breaking news. I still have Fritz's last message to me on my phone. He was an amazing front man. The best in new exotica / lounge I think. Don Tiki had a big Christmas show at the Disney Hall is Los Angeles planned. I hope Don Tiki can go on.
This is an amazing portrait my friend Daerick Rick Gross did of Fritz (Delmar DeWilde).
