1. “By the Fireside” the 1932 recording by British singer Al Bowlly from his collection: Just a Bowl of Cherries, with Roy Fox & His Band.

2. “School Days (When We Were Kids),” the 1949 song taken from the bodacious box set: Louis Jordan and His Tympany Five.

3. “Shine On, Harvest Moon,” the song composed for The Ziegfield Follies of 1908 by Vaudeville Performers Nora Bayes & Jack Norwood, and performed here in 1931 by The Boswell Sisters from their anthemic anthology: Shout, Sister, Shout!, with the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra.

4. “Autumn in New York,” By Vernon Duke for the 1934 Broadway Musical: Thumbs Up! sung by Billie Holiday in 1952 and featured on the 10-CD Box Set: Lady Sings the Blues.

5. The Joseph Myrow song “Autumn Nocturne” recorded in 1954 by Art Farmer, taken from the CD: Early Art, featuring Mr. Farmer on Trumpet, Wynton Kelly on Piano; his brother Addison Farmer on Bass; and Herbie Louvelle on Drums.

6. “Indian Summer,” the 1919 song by Victor Herbert & Al Dubin, performed by the bongo and conga drum master Candido Camero from his 1956 LP: Candido, including Al Cohn on Tenor Sax; Joe Puma on Electric Guitar; Dick Katz on Piano; Whitey Mitchell on String Bass and Ted Sommer on Drums.

7. “Makapu'u Beach,” composed by James “Bla” Pahinui and featured on the mid-1970s album: The Gabby Pahinui Hawaiian Band, Vol. 2, featuring Bla on Guitar, Ry Cooder on lead Guitar and Tiple, Randy Lorenzo on Vocal and Bass; Nick DeCaro on Piano and Milt Holland on Drums.

8. “Cool Blues” by Charlie Parker from the CD: Rara Avis (Rare Bird), recorded in 1954 live at the High Hat Club by WCOP (Radio) in Boston, featuring Bird and Symphony Sid Torrin talking at the beginning, with Herb Pomeroy on Trumpet, Dean Erle on Piano, Bernie Griggs on Bass, and Bill Graham on Drums.

9. “Cool Breeze” the 1946 recording by Billy Eckstine from the album: Boppin’ With “B,” composed by Mr. Eckstine and Tadd Dameron, and featuring Fats Navarro on Trumpet, Gene Ammons on Tenor Sax and Art Blakey on Drums.

10. “Everything’s Cool” composed By Sonny Stitt and performed in 1946 by The Be-Bop Boys, which consisted of Kenny Dorham & Fats Navarro on Trumpets, Mr. Stitt on Alto Sax, Morris Lane on Tenor Sax, Eddie De Verteuil on Baritone Sax, Bud Powell on Piano, Al Hall on Bass and Kenny Clarke on Drums, taken from the Box Set: The Fats Navarro Story.

11. “There's No You,” the 1944 song by Hal Hopper & Tom Adair sung by June Christy with the orchestra Arranged & Conducted by Pete Rugolo on her 1956 LP: The Misty Miss Christy, Howard Roberts & Laurindo Almeida on Acoustic Guitars.

12. “You Keep Coming Back Like a Song,” which was introduced in the Bing Crosby 1946 movie: Blues Skies, from the 1956 recording: Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Irving Berlin Songbook, with Paul Weston and His Orchestra, including Paul Smith on Piano; Harry “Sweets” Edison, Pete Candoli, Don Fagerquist & Manny Klein on Trumpets; Barney Kessel on Electric Guitar; Juan Tizol on Valve Trombone; Eddie Kusby & Dick Noel on Trombones; Joe Mondragon on String Bass; and Alvin Stoller on Drums.

13. “Autumn Leaves, ” the song composed Joseph Kosma and Johnny Mercer from a poem by Jacques Prevert, performed by Washington, DC, Tenor Saxist Ron Holloway on his 1994 CD: Slanted, with Chris Battistone on Trumpet, George Colligan on Piano, Pepe Gonzales on Bass and Lenny Robinson on Drums.
