Hey guys, so I've started a list (for myself) matching rums to regions. This will better help me reference what rums I have available when a recipe calls for Jamaican rum, a Virgin Islands rum, etc. I'd love to get some additional input, however shitty rum need not apply (Admiral Nelson, I'm looking at you.) I'm also trying to gear towards rum that is polynesian/tiki related...so chances are no Brazilian rums, etc. Also any corrections are welcome. ====================

Several U.S.-made rums to add: Koloa (Kaui), Maui (Maui), Pacific (Portland OR), Below Deck (Portland OR), House Spirits (Portland OR), Rogue (Portland OR). Old Mill also hails from Oregon, but is blended here, not distilled here. |

I've sampled the Koloa white, gold & spiced from mini bottles...they're all fine, but didn't blow me away enough to justify the price of a full bottle. Have not tried the Maui rums, although I have tasted their Okolehao liqueur. |

All I have to do is read the label. |
