Belvedero

Back in high school, during the rockabilly revival...there was an excellent band consisting of my high school buddies, called The Belvederes....(circa 1982)

Steve (the guy on the right) taught me how to to play slap bass....

Anyway, some members of the band still perform under the name "Belvedero" as a roots/americana band....and the steel guitar player is none other than Chris Harvey, who was one of the original members of the Hula Girls....

They still release songs...I especially like this one:
