Sign design help (take 2)

Pages: 1 3 replies

So I'm looking to try my hand at routing my own sign for The Hydeaway and I'm running into trouble. I've got a buddy willing to walk me through the technical part, I just need to design the actual art for the sign. Here is the problem, I've got an idea what I want the sign to look like and I've thought of just modifying a font to trace onto the wood, but all the fonts online are just nit right (at least all that I can find.) And amazingly enough I have zero artistic ability!
Anyone of the amazing members of the ohana willing to lend a hand or at least have a better option for fonts than what google turns up?

I'm thinking a classic googie or mid century look that is going to end up in driftwood and hung from the rafters.

Sorry if this reads weird I've been testing high proof rums tonight and I'm more than a little tipsy (but damn if that lemon hart 151 isn't good!)

Thanks in advance!

Try this. With nearly 24,000 fonts to choose from you'll either find something or go mad trying to decide which one.

Here is one of my resources for mid-century Photos,Fonts & Clip Art
most of it is free for non-commercial use, but know carving ornate fonts
will look quite different then how they look in print form.
