I can't understand why those Siberian themed restaurants never caught on! The closing of Yurt Yurt signified the end of an era. Their Blubber Grog was always a huge hit.

Alas, that is a horribly, disgustingly perceptive observation,... and quite correct.
The 'Santa' hat on Mr. Hanky rather ties in to the Arctic region, e.g., Siberia. If the artifact had a matching hat, it would have deteriorated long ago, though. Altogether, quite intriguing.

Its amazing at how the same symbols show up in art work around the world.
I think Olaf the Snowman from Frozen looks like Mr. Hanky. I've thought that since the first time I saw a picture of him.
