We debuted just the other day. Got to
https://wfmu.org/
and peek under "Listen" or "Listen Now" for 24/7 audio atrocities!

What will you hear? Like this very section is described: "Exotica, Lounge, Cocktail, Hawaiian, Vocals & Standards, Bump & Grind, Space-Age, Surf, Rockabilly, Swing and Tiki." And more: beatniks, soundtracks, punk, garage, hillbilly, thrift-store weirdness, basically anything cool, inc. plenty of stuff taken from my vinyl (and video) that's not digitally available, as well as snippets of movie/tv dialogue, comedy, spoken word, sound fx, etc.

Thanks to all of you on these here pages for heppin' me to some of the modern sounds I've added to the stream, like the Hula Girls, Ding Dong Devils, Tikiyaki Orch, Bam Bam, and plenty of others I'm sure, as well as some oldies exotica previously unknown to me.

The station's not promoting it til their current fund-raiser ends in Nov. It's not a tiki station, I'm using the more inclusive term "lowbrow." But the exotic sounds are in there, you betcha.

We're still in the testing phase, so happy to hear any comments, good or bad, as we iron out the details.

Mahalo!

Hey MrFab,

Big fan of WFMU, I just discovered this stream, love it. Can you post the URL to the actual stream rather than the web player? Or add the stream to TuneIn? I'd love to be able to play this on Sonos throughout the house!

Cool Muggler, glad you're diggin' the sounds! Here's a direct link to the stream:

Hope this helps.

Amazing, thank you MrFab!
